About Cruce Farms

I don’t know about you and your family, but here in the Smith household, we LOVE eating fresh oranges & mandarins. Recently we just tried an order of Satsumas (a Japanese Mandarin that is semi-seedless, sweet, and easy to peel) straight from the Cruce Family Farms.

They were seriously delivered directly from their Florida farm to my cold Wisconsin door and they were fresh, sweet, juicy, and delicious! And if you remember anything about me, it’s that I love supporting farms!

If you haven’t tried them, you definitely should! Bonus! Use code: AlwaysJennSmith and get 10% off your order of in-season fruits!

Description

We all know fun festive fruit and veggie boads, but how about a Citrus Christmas Tree using Satsuma Mandarins and Cranberry Ornaments to add just a little extra to your parties and get-togethers this year!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 Mandarine Oranges (peeled and separated, I used Satsuma Mandarins)
  • Whole Cranberries (Fresh or frozen will work)
  • confectioners sugar (You’ll use about a Tablespoon-ish)
  • 1 sprig Mint (completely optional – for the top of the tree.)

Instructions

  1. On a platter or board of your choice, line all but three mandarin slices like a pyramid, play around with it until it’s how you like it. Line the last 3 in a straight-ish line for the base. The randomly place Cranberries all over the top to look like ornaments. You could also candy them to really jazz up your ornaments! Top the tree with a tiny sprig of mint (completely optional).
  2. Shake some powdered sugar over the entire tree with a fine mesh strainer (the amount is completely up to you, the fruit is pretty sweet on it’s own, so I didn’t do a lot)
  3. That’s it! You have a fun fruit Christmas tree ready to impress!
