About Darn Good Yarn Skirts
Their products are crafted from 100% reclaimed traditional sari material sourced from India and made by hand in partnership with local co-ops. That means that no 2 skirts are the same. They are double-layered (with two different patterns), making them reversible! They can also be tied to a top, dress, and more They offer various lengths and sizes (from kids to plus sizes), with adjustable sizing when wrapping around. This gives the skirt something that will grow or shrink with you and any weight adjustments.
Lastly, with each skirt sold we plant 1 tree and donate $1 to the Darn Good Fund which pays for the educational and medical needs of our artisans and their families.
Another amazing thing about Darn Good Yarn itself… They create and sell products that are good for our planet (reducing the impact on the environment and empowering hard-working people). They want to help their customers transform into empowered women who know they are worthy of unique fashion, unrestricted by size.

A Few Quick Notes:
- I’m 5’8″ and have a pant inseam of 35-36 inches (depending on the shoe). I’m wearing the Women’s (0-12) Ankle ankle-length skirt in all of these photos.
- My clothes vary on where I get them. I buy from re-sale shops, and antique shops and I do buy new ones as well. I try to stick to local, small businesses as much as possible (but within realistic means). I tend to gear towards classic styles and use new trends more so in accessories. If you want more details on the other items, let me know. I can continually update or create more detailed posts on individual outfits.
The Outfits
Outfit One
The triangle scarf inspired this outfit you see me wearing. The scarf is one of my handmade projects and the pattern is by RachyNewin Designs. I highly recommend the pattern if you’re looking for a fun DIY accessory. I paired this outfit with a cute yellow blouse I bought 3 years ago and a black braided belt.
Outfit Two
This outfit is very likely going to be my Thanksgiving outfit. It’s comfy and easy, and I can roll up my sleeves and get to cooking. I’m wearing a simple long-sleeved t-shirt in a beautiful burnt orange shade. Additionally, I have my self-made Birch Leaf Beanie Design, which I crafted through knitting and crocheting.
Outfit Three
This shows the skirt on the Reverse side. where you can see the bright blue, but also a peek of the more intricate and darker side as well. I thought this would be a perfect Holiday Outfit, especially if you use a spark cardigan as I did. Cardigans are great because they’re classic and never go out of style.
