Free Knit Pattern: Super Soft Baby Washcloth

Get your feet wet in knitting and crocheting with this easy pattern for super soft baby washcloths.
Why not some Super Soft Baby Washcloths?
The brick and mortar store I stock with my items, Sage Hen Serendipity, needed some more washcloths. So this time… I thought… “Why not some Super Soft Baby Washcloths?”
I’ve been surrounded by babies and pregnant people lately and have been working like a mad lady to finish baby gifts… so I figured… why not some washcloths? My husband and older kids love all the scrubbies and washcloths I make for them, so why not make some for babies?

Free Pattern: Irish Moss Washcloth

If you’re new to knitting, then this Irish Moss Washcloth is perfect for you! This pattern is really more of a “how-to”. So it’s very forgiving. BONUS! You only need to know how to knit and purl. That’s it!!!!

The Best Part…

It looks the same on both sides, subsequently, there is no right or wrong side! Even when you use multi-colored yarn looks awesome. This one, just like the Bubble Washcloth, you don’t have to do the crochet part of this pattern. You can just bind off and weave in ends, but I personally LOVE the look of the reverse single crochet (Video Tutorial coming soon) on this washcloth.

Originally, when I started yarn crafting, I only knew how to crochet. As I started searching for things to make, I started seeing so many great hats, and sweater patterns that were knit. This led me on a journey to learn how to do both. After completing my first knit project (a winter hat), I realized how much I enjoyed both crocheting and knitting. They each have their positives and negatives. Knitting brings a cleanness to things. Crochet has a different look and feel. It also offers different heights in its stitches. Both can bring great texture to a design.

Free Pattern: The Birch Leaf Beanie (Kid sizes)

Last year, during one crazy time, I suddenly got back into designing and creating 3 Birch-themed crochet patterns for you all. Well, after a full of everyone asking… I’ve been asked by many of you to create these, and I am excited to announce… I finally created the kid, toddler, and older baby sizes of the Birch Leaf Beanie!!!

We’re finally at the last of my crochet leaf stitch patterns! WHAT?! This pattern is seriously my favorite! When I started blogging and offering patterns, my first 2 were knitted washcloths with a crochet border, and ever since I’ve had this interest and love of merging the 2 techniques together.

So many people are either #teamknit or #teamcrochet. I’m over here singing “Why can’t we be friends? Why can’t we be friends?” (in case you didn’t know, this is the Song Why Can’t We Be Friends By WAR).
